Financing Your Orthodontic Treatment – Cost of Invisalign in Staten Island and Brooklyn

Although there are many people who would like to improve their smiles through orthodontic treatment, there are also many who are concerned about the cost of their treatment. Unfortunately, some people who would benefit from having this treatment don’t ever visit an orthodontist because they believe that they can’t afford it.

Our office is strongly committed to bringing orthodontic treatment within financial reach for everyone, and we want people to know about the options they have for financing their orthodontic treatment. The cost of Invisalign or another type of treatment should not be what keeps you from pursuing your dream of a great smile.

CareCredit financing

We are partnered with a company called CareCredit, which offers loans to people who need medical, dental, or orthodontic care and don’t have the cash to pay for it up front. (Most people don’t!) With CareCredit, you will be issued a healthcare credit card. This card is only allowed to be used for approved healthcare expenses, which can include co-pays and deductibles as well as treatment that your insurance doesn’t cover at all. There are a variety of different repayment plans available. In some cases, you won’t pay any interest on your loan as long as you pay it back in the agreed-upon timeframe.

If you’re interested in learning more about this option, we can refer you to CareCredit, or you can check out their website.

In-house financing

It’s becoming rare for an orthodontist’s office to offer in-house financing. However, we want to ensure that patients have as many options as possible, so we have decided to continue offering this as an option for our patients. In-house financing means that we allow you to begin treatment right away, and make payments to our office each month until the balance is paid off. Most healthcare offices require that your balance be paid in full before the treatment begins, but we understand that coming up with the full amount in cash up front is simply out of reach for most people, and so we offer this option.

Insurance and FSAs

Although medical insurance typically doesn’t cover any dental services at all, if you have a separate dental insurance policy, then it may cover part of the cost of your orthodontic treatment. If you’re not sure whether or not you have dental insurance, then check with your employer. Many companies offer a low-cost dental insurance plan as part of their benefits package.

A flexible spending account, or FSA, is another benefit that you can access through your employer. With an FSA, money is deducted from your paycheck and deposited into your account. You can then use the money in the account to pay for healthcare expenses, including orthodontic treatment. The biggest benefit of an FSA is that the money is deposited pre-tax, so you never have to pay taxes on the income that you put into the account. This can be a source of significant savings on your treatment, effectively making the cost of Invisalign or another orthodontic treatment lower by 25% or more (because you aren’t paying your normal tax rate on that money).

Cost of Invisalign Staten Island and Brooklyn

If you’re thinking about having orthodontic treatment, we don’t want the cost of Invisalign or any other treatment to be the barrier that prevents you from getting the treatment you need. Orthodontic treatment can not only benefit you socially and professionally by improving your smile, but can also benefit you medically by creating a healthier bite. The number of people who would benefit from orthodontic treatment is unfortunately far greater than the number who actually receive it, and some of those who don’t get treatment never visit an orthodontist at all because they believe that they won’t be able to pay for it.

With all of the options available to you, don’t let the cost of Invisalign or another treatment be what keeps you from visiting Dr. AlJanabi. Schedule a consultation and learn more about how orthodontics could help you live your best life.
